MEET THE MAKER

I'm Crystal, the owner, and maker behind the madness that is Pinecone Roots. What started out as a Christmas DIY for my family that could be mailed in mad times (covid-19, not the return of Lord Voldemort), turned into steady requests from family and friends for candles of their own... And just like that a candle business was born.

  

I am a bit of a serial crafter and creator. I am constantly trying new things that give me the ability to keep my creative soul busy as my kiddos and I follow my husband around the world. Candles, and all things smell good, stole my heart and became a very quick obsession. We're talking midnight hour, middle note and base note research y'all. I was fascinated by the true science that goes into making a candle rather than the cookie cutter kit you could find beyond the door of any craft store. The container, the wax, the fragrance down to the wick and temperature in which I pour my oils, are all very specific details that matter. The perfectionist in me loves this, details matter y'all. I loved the process of blending custom scents, tweaking them perfectly after weeks of testing to create a sense of magic the moment you step into a space. Designing a look, label and product that's perfectly crafted to become the conversation in your own home is a feeling that I can't get enough of.
